The Finish Guy
San Diego's Finish Guy, also known as Roger Pigott, has been working with finish nearly all his life. He learned to spray baked enamel finish and restored old cars in his dad’s shop. Later, jobs in the furniture industry led to training in touch up and repair of wood surfaces. In 1993 these experiences were combined to offer full-service, on-site restoration of wood in all its forms: desks, elevator panels and conference tables for the commercial industry; front doors, cabinets, and staircases for residential.
Short list of items Roger has repaired or refinished:
- Grandfather clocks
- Rocking chairs
- Bookcases
- Cedar chests
- Dog-chewed base molding
- Dining tables and chairs
- Bed frames
- Millwork
… call us, if it’s wood, we can probably refinish it! *
Exceptional color-matching skills - The Finish Guy is often called on to redo pieces that have been repaired but not color matched properly; or to match faded, sun-exposed pieces to others.
The majority of finishes used are eco-friendly, water-based products. Oil-based finish is used for exterior doors to provide weather protection.
